Test Results

Important Information

You will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results at the time of your test so please bear this in mind before contacting the surgery. It is then your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.

We will contact you by telephone, or by letter, if a result is abnormal and you require treatment or further investigations. However, we request that you do not assume that a result is normal if we do not contact you.

Getting your Results

If you wish to check your test results online, you can find them on NHS App

Alternatively, you can enquire about the test results by telephone at the end of surgery sessions. The administrative staff will give results to you or you may be asked to speak to the nurse or doctor. Adults' results will not be given to anyone other than the patient, except in exceptional circumstances.
